Hard questions · Surrogates
How soon after my own baby can I apply?
The short answer
You can apply once you have stopped breastfeeding and resumed regular cycles; most clinics require at least 6 months after a vaginal birth and 12 months after a cesarean before an embryo transfer, so applying 6 to 9 months after delivery lines up with the screening timeline.
