Surrogacy cost

How much does surrogacy cost in 2026? An itemized answer.

The short answer

A gestational surrogacy journey in the United States costs $150,000 to $250,000 in 2026. With Private Label Surrogacy it typically costs $[TOTAL_LOW] to $[TOTAL_HIGH] before your fertility clinic's fees. The largest items are surrogate compensation (from $60,000 base plus roughly $8,000 to $18,000 in allowances and benefits), the agency program fee ($[FEE] at PLS), independent professionals ($15,300 to $29,000 for attorneys, escrow, psychological evaluation, background and insurance review), and surrogate health insurance if her policy excludes surrogacy ($5,000 to $40,000). IVF, embryo creation and transfer are paid to your clinic and run $[IVF_RANGE] [estimate, label as such]. Everything except the clinic bill flows through an independent escrow account you control.

Frequently asked questions

What is the average cost of surrogacy in the US?
