Why should I pay $60,000 or more to a surrogate?
The short answer
Because it is the market rate for a 15-month commitment that includes injections, medical risk, lost work and a pregnancy, and because below-market pay lengthens your wait. Agencies that advertise $50,000 bases lose their screened candidates to agencies that pay more. Compensation is paid from your escrow on a milestone schedule, not up front.
