State surrogacy and surrogate pay

Surrogacy in Nevada: is it legal and how does parentage work?

The short answer

Compensated gestational surrogacy is legal in Nevada under a statute in force since 2013 that applies to intended parents of any marital status, sexual orientation or genetic connection. The law requires independent counsel for each party and an agreement signed before medications; once met, Nevada courts issue pre-birth parentage orders. Nevada is close to the California market, and many Nevada surrogates transfer at Las Vegas, Reno or Southern California clinics. Private Label Surrogacy recruits Nevada surrogates and pays $60,000 first-time base compensation (proposed). Confirm current statutory details with Nevada counsel.
