hCG, HMBANA milk bank, ICSI, identity-release donor, implantation

hCG

Lost wages

Income a surrogate, and in PLS agreements her partner, loses for appointments, transfer, bed rest and delivery, reimbursed from escrow with documentation. See lost wages.

Is a gestational carrier the baby's biological mother?

No. The egg comes from an intended mother or an egg donor, so the carrier has no genetic link to the child.

What is independent counsel?

A separate attorney for each side of a surrogacy agreement. Illinois now requires it for both intended parents and surrogate (reviewed by counsel), and PLS refers rather than employs attorneys.

What does lost wages cover?

Income a surrogate, and in PLS agreements her partner, loses for appointments, transfer, bed rest and delivery, reimbursed from escrow with documentation.
